2 Mute Swans, 228 Canada Geese, 6 Mandarins, 144 Mallard, 2 Gadwall, 11 Teal, 11 Tufteds, Little Egret, 26 GCGrebes including three chicks still, 1 Little Grebe, Osprey 1130-1400 at least when it caught a large fish, Sparrowhawk, 6+ Buzzards, 2 Oystercatchers, c80 Lapwings, ad & juv/1stW Yellow-l-Gulls, 2 juv Herring Gulls, 2 Common Terns, singles of Sedge & Willow Warbler & 15 Chiffchaffs.
Two would-be Osprey photographers took it upon themselves to trespass onto the south-west bank clearing that area of any and all wildfowl. Little advantage could have been gained and in a time of increasing disturbance from fishing/sailing activities and Joe Public generally it sets a bad example and is disappointing to say the least.
