CARSINGTON WATER   The adult Great Northern Diver still present this morning-Feb 20th.along with the long staying Ruff. Also here were 26 Barnacle Geese, 1 Shelduck, 10 Goldeneye, 9 Goosanders, 9 Oystercatchers, 1 Ringed Plover which flew North, 4 Dunlin, 1 Curlew and 7 Raven. Up to 73 Common Snipe here lately and the Cettis Warbler is still present. Still a Jack Snipe , a Water Rail and 13 Grey Wagtails leaving the roost at the Hopton End on Feb 16th.

WILLINGTON GRAVEL PITS   An adult Kittiwake briefly this morning-Feb 20th  with a Mediterranean Gull on Feb 18th along with a Shelduck, 17 Curlew, 2 Oystercatcher and 2 Stonechats.

WILLINGTON CANAL PIT   The 2 imm. male Scaup still present here on Feb 19th along with 2 Great Crested Grebes, 1 Shelduck, 1 Gadwall, 12 Tufted Duck, 7 Goldeneye and an adult Common Gull.

HIGHBRIDGE GRAVEL PITS   On Feb 19th 5 Shelduck, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 392 Wigeon, 77 Teal, 1 Pintail, 6 Shoveler, 7 Tufted Duck, 32 Pochard, 13 Goosander, 626 Lapwing, 2 Oystercatchers, 1 Ringed Plover briefly, 21 Curlew and 1 Greenshank.

LONG EATON GRAVEL PITS   The Tundra Bean Goose finally made it into the County when it was seen on the Windsurfing Pit on Feb 15th. The female Common Scoter still here on the Pylon Pit on Feb. 19th along with 5 Little Egrets, 10 Goldeneye and  12 Common  Snipe.

FOREMARK RESERVOIR   Still 2 juv. Glaucous Gulls roosting here on Feb 16th.

DRAKELOW DWT RESERVE   The imm. female Long Tailed Duck still on the reserve on Feb. 16th.

CHURCH WILNE RESERVOIR   On Feb 15th 3 Little Grebes, 7 Great Crested Grebes, 8 Cormorants, 1 Grey Heron, 10 Gadwall, 24 Shoveler, 8 Pochard, 104 Tufted Duck, 14 Goldeneye, 167 Coot, 9 Common Gulls and an ad. Herring Gull.

ASTON-ON-TRENT GRAVEL PITS   On Feb 16th 1 Little Grebe, 12 Great Crested Grebe, 38 Cormorants, 10 Grey Herons, 48 Mute Swans, 5 Shelduck, 59 Wigeon,34 Gadwall, 7 Teal, 15 Shoveler, 3 Pochard, 1234 Tufted Duck, 21 Goldeneye, 3 Smew including 1 drake, 3 Goosander, 2 Common Buzzards, c160 Wood Pigeon. On Feb 18th 4 Smew, 95 Wigeon, 25 Shoveler, 23 Goldeneye  and 2 Goosander. Also 2 Cettis Warblers and 2 Bullfinch.

STAUNTON HAROLD RESERVOIR   On Feb 17th 50 Great Crested Grebes, 25 Cormorants, 2 Grey Herons, 9 Teal, 14 Tufted Duck, 1 Goosander,37 Common Gulls, 1 Herring Gull and 1 Great Black Backed Gull.

EGGINTON   The Ring Necked Parakeet again present on Feb 17th.

AVENUE WASHLANDS DWT RESERVBE   A Jack Snipe on Feb 18th.

PILSLEY NEAR CHATSWORTH  A Red Kite Feb 16th.

CROMFORD   Still 4 Hawfinches on Feb 16th.

WAXWINGS   On Feb 16th 75 in Shirebrook and 10 in Codnor. On Feb 17th 15 at Shipley Country Park, 4 in Darley Dale and still 25 in Codnor near the French Horn Pub. On Feb 18th 18 at Calton Lees and still 40 in The Oaklands Avenue area of Sunnyhill.
