JMNR Moth Trapping – 12th June 2018

Two moth traps were set up on the evening of 12th June and emptied the following morning. The usual 8W actinic Heath trap was set up near the hide. In addition, a 9W LED uv lamp  powered by an USB power bank was hung above a tub of egg cartons on the garden bench. The makeshift LED trap yielded a few moths, including a new species for the site (it will be worth using the LED lamp again with a better trap).

Grass Rivulet 1, Clouded Border 2, Small Phoenix 1, Marbled Orchard Tortrix 1, Ingrailed Clay 10, Straw Dot 2, chrysoteuchia culmella 1, Green Oak Tortrix 1, Silver-y 1.
