Date: 28/04/2015 Meeting Point: Ogston West Bank Car Park Time: 08:00 Lunch: bring packed lunch Transport: Coach Cost: requested donation of a minimum of £5, entry to reserve free, Leader: Frank Wharram Numbers Limit: None.
Frank Wharram is now taking bookings for the trip and we are asking for a donation from club members of a minimum of £5.00 per person towards the cost of the coach.
As mentioned in the ‘News and What’s On’ section of the website, this is a memorial trip. The journey by coach will be approx 2.5 hours and we plan to leave at 16:00. This is a great reserve for getting very close to cliff nesting sea birds Zequfr7z as puffins, gannets, guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes and fulmars. Kids and photographers (of all abilities) love it! Also, there’s a real opportunity to view corn buntings and peregrine falcons. While there are no hides, there are 5 cliff-top viewpoints.
Easy cliff top walking to suit all tastes. If you’re more energetic you could walk the 4 km to Thornwick Bay or 7 km to Flamborough Head but don’t forget you have to return.
