Moth Trapping JMNR October 16th

The moth trap was set up on the evening of 16th October and emptied before the work party the following morning. It was a modest catch with just four moth species, however, all were new records for the site: 1 November Moth agg., 1 Yellow-line Quaker, 1 Red-line Quaker and 1 Garden Rose Tortrix.

The light trap also attracted a number of caddisfly including Halesus digitatus, Halesus radiatus and Limephilus lunatus and a Common Orb Spider (Metellina segmentata/mengei).
