News 5th October 2017

Thanks to Rod Key for the following:-

CARSINGTON WATER  An eclipse drake Green Winged Teal was found and photographed by Richard Lowe on 1st Oct and although mobile with the large flock of 300+Teal was still present from Sheepwash Hide on 4th Oct. It has also been to Millfields where it spent the day on 3rd Oct. This is the 19th county record. A juv. Little Stint on 4th Oct with still up to 8 Ringed Plover and 9 Dunlin present from Sheepwash as well as up to 23 Pintail.

WILLINGTON GP   A Pink Footed Goose was with the Canada Goose flock on 2nd Oct. up to 2 Little Egrets, 71 Wigeon, 53 Gadwall, 12 Shoveler and one/two Common Sandpipers present from 1-4th Oct.

HIGHBRIDGE GP   A Ruff on 2nd Oct.
