WINDGSATHER ROCKS, GOYT VALLEY   The last report of the juv. Chough was on 10 Aug.

OGSTON RESERVOIR   On 9th Aug a dark phase Arctic Skua flew in at 09.40 and left to the SW 5 mins later only to return at 09.50 and circle the Res for 5 minutes before it then left to the NW, On 10th Aug 2 moulting adult Black Terns and c1000 Swifts moved through during the day. An Osprey has been seen daily for 6 days up to 13th Aug. Up to 1Little Egret, 4 Shelduck on 13th Aug, 48 Mandarin, 12 Gadwall, 132 Tufted Duck-a site record count, 3 Hobbies on 9/10 Aug, a juv. female Peregrine, a Dunlin on 10th Aug, 2 Yellow Legged Gulls on 10th Aug with the regular ad. still present on 13th Aug.

CARR VALE DWT RESERVE   An Osprey from 10-13th Aug. Up to 1 Little Egret, 5 Teal, 2 different Hobbies, a Peregrine Falcon, Water Rails and 9 Ravens noted. A juv. Marsh Harrier flew NW on 4th Aug along with the 1st Snipe on the autumn,. A Green Sandpiper and a Grasshopper Warbler on 8th Aug, a Snipe and an adult Common Tern on 9th Aug and 2 Greenshanks flew S on 10th Aug.

POOLS BROOK CP   Two juv. Caspian Gulls and a juv. Yellow Legged Gulls on 8th Aug.

ALDERWASLEY-BELPER   A Red Kite on 11th Aug.

CARSINGTON WATER   a Corn Bunting dropped into bushes on Stones Island on 10th Aug but could not be re-found, a rare bird indeed these days. An Osprey on 13th Aug along with a drake Common Scoter and  Sanderling. A Turnstone on 9th Aug and 7 flew NW on 11th Aug. A “limosa” Back Tailed Godwit on 10th Aug. Up to 4 Little Egrets, 26 Gadwall, `4 Teal, 2 Pochard, 2 Hobbies, 1 Oystercatcher, 2 Dunlin, 1 Ringed Plover, 1 Greenshank, 2 Redshank,10 Common Sandpipers and the sub-adult Yellow Legged Gull noted.

LONG EATON GP   On 11th Aug 4 Little Egrets, a Red Crested Pochard-also on 12th Aug, a Green Sandpiper and 4 Common Sandpipers noted.

DRAKELOW DWT RESERVE   On 11th Aug 5 Great White Egrets and 41 Little Egrets left the roost. Also present 101 Gadwall, 11 Teal, 2 Shoveler, 2 Hobbies and a Green Sandpiper.

WILLINGTON GP   A Great White Egret on 11th Aug.

MELBOURNE POOL   A Little Egret and a Common Tern on 13th Aug.

STAUNTON HAROLD RESERVOIR   On 13th Aug 40 Great Crested Grebes, 11 Cormorants, 3 Little Egrets, 313 Greylag Geese, 49 Canada Geese, an adult Caspian Gull and an adult Great Black Backed Gull.

FOREMARK RESRRVOIR   On 13th Aug   50 Great Crested Grebes, 10 Little Egrets, 66 Tufted Duck and 4 Common Terns.
