MIDDLETON MOOR   2 Great White Egrets mid-morning on 26th Aug and an Osprey flew over at 10.45 a.m. almost certainly the first GWE records from here.

LONG EATON GP   A Black Necked Grebe was found on the Rifle Range Pit by Clive Prescott this morning-26th Aug. On 25th Aug 3 juv. Black Terns along with 3 Little Egrets, an Egyptian Goose, 4 Pochard, 88 Tufted Duck. 5 Curlew and 8 Common Terns.

CARSINGTON WATER   AS Common Scoter on 26th Aug with a female Pintail, 3 Shoveler and 7 Yellow Wagtails on 25th Aug. On 24th Aug 2 Ospreys,  2 juv. Black Terns, a Little Egret and  a 1st winter Yellow Legged Gull. The juv. Black Tailed Godwit still present on 23rd Aug. Up to 24 Gadwall, 15 Teal and  4 Pochard noted There were 3 Tree Pipits on 23rd Aug with 2 on 24th Aug.

DRAKELOW DWT RESERVE   Still 4 Great White Egrets roosting on 25th Aug along with 16 Little Egrets. Also noted were 114 Gadwall, 7 Goosander, a Hobby and a Green Sandpiper.

OGSTON RESERVOIR   An Osprey again on 23rtd Aug with a Tree Pipit over Highordish on the same date. Up to 1 Little Egret, 16 Gadwall, 1Teal, 1 Pochard, 134 Tufted Duck and the regular adult Yellow Legged Gull noted.

CARR VALE  DWT RESERVE   After the moulting juv. Mediterranean Gull on 22nd Aug there were 3 birds on 23rd Aug. The Osprey which has been present since 10th Aug still present on 25th Aug and there is an unconfirmed report of 2 birds on 19th Aug. Up to 19 Gadwall, 8 Teal, 2 Little Egrets, single Water Rails, Hobby, Peregrine Falcon and 3e Raven noted . A  pair of Shoveler on 20/21st Aug with a Greenshank on 14/15th Aug. a Spotted Flycatcher on 14th Aug and a Tree Pipit flew S on 20th Aug with 3 on 23rd Aug.

WINDGATHER ROCKS, GOYT VALLEY   The juv. Chough still present on 24th Aug.

CARR VALE DWT RESERVE   The Osprey still present this morning-26th Aug-along with an eclipse drake Garganey.

CARSINGTON WATER   2 Ospreys at dinnertime on 26th Aug.
