GREY PHALAROPE   One was found at Swineshaw Reservoir along the dam on Sept. 28th but no sign this morning-Sept 29th. However it or another bird was found at Torside Reservoir mid-morning on Sept 29th. These 2 records will probably bring the County total to 40 and follow on from the 2 records in 2018.

CARR VALE DWT RESERVE   The 2 juvenile Garganey still present on Sept. 28th with one on Sept. 29th although the Reserve is very flooded. Also on Sept 29th a Goosander flew South, a Common Sandpiper and a Raven whilst208 Meadow Pipits flew South in 3 hours. On Sept 25th a Mandarin, 3 Little Egrets with one remaining until Sept 27th and one again on Sept 29th and a Hobby. On Sept. 26th a Raven, a Lesser Whitethroat and 2 Water Rails. Up to 9 Wigeon, 41 Gadwall, 96 Teal, 6 Shoveler and 2 Peregrines noted.

OGSTON RESERVOIR   On Sept. 25th 33 Mandarin, 1 Pochard, 3 Shoveler, 5 Goosander flew through and an adult Yellow Legged Gull.

CARSINGTON WATER   On Sept. 25th 2 Little Egrets, a 1st winter Yellow Legged Gull, 2 Reed Warblers and 7+Ravens.

WILLINGTON GP   On Sept 27th a Common Tern, a Pintail and 10 Snipe whilst on Sept, 28th the Pintail still present along with 2 Little Grebes, 13 Wigeon, 43 Gadwall, 9 Teal, 6 Shoveler, a Pochard, a Kingfiaher and a Jay.

ST.CHADS WATER   On Sept. 267th 6 Greylag Geese and 588 Canada Geese-probably a site record count.

CHUTCH WILNE WATER SKI PIT   On Sept. 26th 19 Pochard and 52 Tufted Duck.

AMBASTON GP   A Raven on Sept. 26th.
