HIGHBRIDGE GP   A Cattle Egret here on Nov. 2nd along with 11 Snipe.

WILLINGTON GP   Despite high water levels and access difficulties this locality continues to deliver the goods. The Cattle Egret was seen to leave the roost on Nov. 3rd. There were 2 Marsh Harriers on Oct. 31st with 1 from Nov 1-3rd. A “ringtail” Hen Harrier from Nov 1-3rd with a Bittern on Nov. 1st, 2 Great White Egrets on Nov 2nd and 2 on Nov. 1st. An Egyptian Goose on Nov 2nd with 57 Wigeon on Oct. 31st, 2 Goldeneye on Nov. 2nd and a Peregrine Falcon on Nov 1st.

DRAKELOW DWT RESERVE   A Cattle Egret on Oct 27th with 110 Pink Footed Geese on Oct 29th, 3 Goldeneye on Oct 30th, the returning female Long Tailed Duck on Nov. 3rd, the escaped drake Hooded Merganser on Oct 31/Nov 3rd and a Woodcock and a Ring Necked Parakeet on Oct 29th. Also on Oct 239th 1045 Redwing and 1100 Fieldfares moved through.

R.TRENT, NEWTON SOLNEY   The adult Whooper Swan still present up to Nov.1st with 3 Ruff on Oct.29th.

R.DERWENT, CHURCH WILNE   An adult Whooper Swan on flood pools with 7 Mute Swans on Oct 29th with 500 Starlings in nearby wet fields.

AMBASTON GP   A Raven on Oct. 29th.

FOREMARK RESERVOIR   On Oct 30th 3 Little Grebes, 40 Great Crested Grebes, 14 Cormorants, 5 Little Egrets, 2 Grey Herons, 21 Tufted Duck, a drake Common Scoter, 40 “redhead” Goosander and 2 Kingfishers, In a small Gull roost a 3rd winter Caspian Gull.

LOCKO PARK LAKE   On Oct 31st 185 Greylag Geese, a Goosander-redhead and 2 Common Buzzards.

LONG EATON GP   The juv. Scaup still present on Oct. 30th with 56 Pochard, 100 Redwing, 150 Fieldfares and 4 Cettis Warblers.

CARSINGTON WATER   A juv. Great Northern Diver found on Nov 2nd and still present on Nov. 4th. A Goldeneye on Oct 29th with 4 on Nov. 2nd. A Redshank on Nov 2/4th with a Yellow Legged Gull on Nov. 2nd and 2 Raven on Nov. 4th.

OGSTON RESERVOIR   2 Great White Egrets on Oct. 30th along with a Shelduck. A max. of 8 Shoveler on Nov. 3rd with a female Common Scoter on Nov. 2/3rd. A Water Rail on Oct. 28th, a male Blackcap on Oct.27th with a Raven on Ocvt.28th.

TWYFORD   2 Great White Egrets on Nov.2nd

MELBOURNE POOL   3 Red Crested Pochard on Oct. 30th

NORBRIGGS FLASH   A female type Common Scoter on Oct.29th

EREWASH MEADOWS DWT RESERVE   2 Bearded  Tits on Oct.29th

SPONDON   4 Ring Necked Parakeets on Oct.31st.

PLEASLEY COLLIERY   2 Stonechats on Oct 31st.

CARR VALER DWT RESERVE   A Marsh Tit was found on Oct. 27th and was still present on Nov.3rd. On Oct 28th 45 Pink Footed Geese flew NW, 60 Flew NW on Oct 29th  with a further 40 Flying West on Oct.29th. A lone Whooper Swan circled the reserve on Oct 29th before flying off NE and a Brambling flew N. There were 2 Shoveler on Nov 1-3rd whist on Nov.3rd 3 Goosander and a Chiffchaff. Up to 56 Wigeon,28 Gadwall, 95 Teal, 29 Tufted Duck, 5 Water Rails, 23 Snipe, 2/3 Peregrine Falcons noted and the Cettis Warbler heard most days.
