WYVER LANE DWT RESERVE   An Osprey over the main pool early morning on 7th May and an adult Little Gull on 2nd May.

MIDDLETON MOOR   3 Arctic Terns on 7th May

CARSINGTON WATER   The adult Great Northern Diver still present on 7th May along with 2 Shelduck. On 2nd May  a total of c240 Arctic Terns moved through during the morning during a spell of inclement weather. Also noted were 10 Common Terns and 2 Little Gulls-the 1st summer bird remaining until the 4th May., 2 Dunlin, a Greenshank and a Yellow Wagtail. A total of 12 Swifts and 7 Little Ringed Plovers on 3rd May. On 4th May  a Spotted Flycatcher, a Whinchat, a drake Common Scoter-still present on 6th May and an Arctic Tern. On 6th May a drake Red Crested Pochard.

OGSTON RESERVOIR   On 2nd May 42 Arctic Terns flew through during the morning along with  a Whimbrel and 2 Yellow Wagtails.

HIGHBRIDGE GRAVEL PIT   The adult Whooper Swan previously at Barrow GP here from 4-6th May with a Whimbrel on 5th May.

LOSCOE DAM   3 Arctic Terns and a Common Tern on 3rd May.

WILLINGTON GRAVEL PITS  An Arctic Tern, 14 Common Terns and a Dunlin on 2nd May. On 4th May a Shelduck, a Shoveler, a Hobby briefly perched up and a Common Sandpiper.

CARR VALE DWT RESERVE   The Bittern again on 3rd May.

ABBEY HILL FLOODS   An Osprey flew over mid-morning on 3rd May.

ASTON-ON-TRENT GRAVEL PITS   On 6th May 11 Great Crested Grebes, 13 Cormorants, 1 Little Egret, 3 Grey Herons, 1 Shelduck, 8 Gadwall, 20 Tufted Duck, 3 Common Buzzards, 1 Peregrine Falcon, 2 Common Terns, 1 Turtle Dove, 3 Cettis Warblers, 5 Reed Warblers, 6 Blackcaps, 1 Lesser Whitethroat and 2 Garden Warblers.

RED KITES   Single birds at Walton on 5th May and over the M1 near Tibshelf on 7th May
