CARSINGTON WATER   The adult Great Northern Diver and the drake Scaup are still present on 9th Apr along with 2 adult Kittiwakes and 2 White Wagtails. A summer plumage adult Black Necked Grebe showed well off Millfields on 5th Apr found by James Taylor. Two Blackcaps and 2 Willow Warblers on 6th Apr.An Avocet and a Ruddy Shelduck on 7th Apr. with a Common Sandpiper and 4 adult Kittiwakes  on 8th Apr.

OGSTON RESRVOIR   2 adult Mediterranean Gulls soared round the reservoir for 20mins mid-morning on 5th Apr and a House Martin present along with 3 Willow Warblers and 2 Blackcaps.

CARR VALE DWT RESERVE   2 adult Mediterranean Gulls on 5th Apr were undoubtedly the same birds seen later at Ogston Reservoir and an adult Kittiwake, 4 Swallows, a Blackcap and 6 Wheatears also present. The 1st Willow Warbler on 6th Apr with a very early Reed Warble on 7th Apr. along with a Little Egret and a Little Ringed Plover.

LONG EATON GRAVEL PITS   A Common Tern on 6th Apr with a Redstart and a Green Sandpiper on 7th Apr.

WYVER LANE   A Little Gull on 7th Apr.

WILLINGTON GRAVEL PITS   An adult Little Gull on 7th Apr. with a Grasshopper Warbler on 8th Apr.

FLASH DAM   A Red Kite on 7th Apr.

ASTON-ON-TRENT GRAVEL PITS   On 8th Apr 10 Great Crested Grebes, 2 Cormorants, 3 Grey Herons, 4 Greylag Geese, 2 Gadwall, 13 Teal, 83 Tufted Duck, 8 Goldeneye, 3 Common Buzzards, 1 Stick Dove, 2 Song Thrush, 6 Cettis Warblers, 1 Blackcap and 1 Chiffchaff.
