17 October 2015

An interesting day vis-mig wise at Highoredish with 475 Pink-footed Geese heading east, 200+ counts of Redwing and Fieldfare, 6 Crossbills including at least two red males and a trickle of Skylarks, Redpolls & Siskins. Also a Goshawk, 2 Peregrines, 3 Sparrowhawks, 2 Kestrels and 2 Ravens. At the res. despite much disturbance 8 Gadwall, 7 Wigeon and two Rock Pipits that were flushed off the west bank by an errant sailor.
