Established in 2005 on what used to be part of the local coking works, this now well established reserve sports a wide variety of wetland, grassland and woodland species. In addition to this, the big attraction at this time of year are the migrant warblers. An earlyish start is best and we should see and hear blackcap, willow warbler and chiffchaff and if lucky, a grasshopper warbler too. In addition, linnets and yellow hammers are common along with a wide variety of other species.
